In 2023, Dicksons of Inverness donated a special Tartan-wrapped Nissan Note to William Simpson from Linlithgow in his support of his pilgrimage to Hranice, Czechia – a journey that would see him pay tribute to his uncle Walter Simpson who died in WWII at the age of just 19, and William’s son – Angus, who sadly succumbed to cancer aged just two years old. To date, William has raised almost £4000 for CCLG – the Children’s Cancer and Leukaemia Group.
To further support William’s fundraising efforts, we are now auctioning off the car used in the journey to raise even more funds that will benefit CCLG, a charity that carries out vital research and helps to support families facing childhood cancer.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
In order to place a bid, the bidder must be aged 18 or over. There is no limit as to how much, how little, or how many times a bidder may bid. In order for a bid to stand, all fields in the form MUST be filled out correctly. You acknowledge that once the silent auction has ended, the winner will be expected to pay for the item as soon as reasonably possible.
Bids and payment are in Pounds Sterling. The event manager will notify the highest bidder once the auction has closed. Incomplete bids, or bids below the current price will not be accepted. The successful bid will be the highest bid received by the scheduled end of the auction. In the event that two or more bids equal the highest bid, the lot shall be awarded to the bid received first. The Item will not be released to the winning bidder until full payment has been received. In the event of an uncontactable winning bidder, within seven days of the closing of the auction, or of payment not being received within 14 days of a winning bidder being notified, Dicksons of Inverness reserve the right to award the lot to the next highest bidder. If, for any reason we are unable to award the lot, we reserve the right to withdraw the lot from the auction. The winning bidder is entitled to request a refund within 14 days of the event subject to an admin fee and the lot will then be awarded to the next highest bidder. All bids will be checked and verified prior to being accepted. Bidders must accept these terms and conditions above and agree to be contacted by Dicksons of Inverness.
